PRACTICE MEASURES FOR COVID-19

AT SOLIHULL DENTAL PRACTICE YOUR DENTAL CARE IS OUR

Your oral health continues to be important to us, and although we will all be cautious going forward, none of us should let recent events cause us to neglect our health.

Please be patient with us as we deal with emergencies and assist patients who were mid treatment before the lockdown began. We will be contacting you to re-book cancelled appointments, and will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible.

YOUR SAFETY PROCEDURES

Dental practices have always been one of the safest environments, but we have enhanced our protocols due to the COVID-19 challenge.

  1. You will be contacted before your appointment to go through an assessment to ensure your health, attendance and to answer any questions you may have
  2.  To minimize contact in the waiting room we will ask you to wait in your car. We will call you to come into the practice. Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment where possible. We have limited seating areas in the waiting room.
  3. If you attend by public transport then upon arrival to the practice please wait at the designated area near reception to be called in.
  4. Attend wearing a mask (proprietary or homemade) and if possible bring a pen with you to complete forms.
  5. Sanitize your hands upon entry and exit of the practice, located by the front door.
  6. We will take your temperature with a no touch thermometer to ensure you do not have a temperature.
  7. You will be asked to place your belongings and coat into a clear container in the surgery.
  8. We will then discuss your medical questionnaire, COVID-19 risk assessment and treatment details.

We have also added to the already strict safety protocols and procedures with enhanced protective clothing and equipment (detailed below) which is for added safety.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY PROCEDURES:

  • Pre appointment health screening.
